Under this service model, customers are matched with a dedicated Experience Guide for the entire buying process. Since the pricing is set using fair market value, consumers do not need to negotiate and car buying times are reduced with this model to one hour or less.
Sonic performs on-site appraisals for trade-ins and sales to the dealership, during which actual market value is determined.
Sonic Guest Experience is currently available at five Charlotte, NC area locations. The concept will roll out to additional locations in 2017.

EchoPark Automotive
Sonic Automotive owns EchoPark Automotive, a used-car dealer also based in Charlotte. EchoPark allows customers to look up competitors' prices on mobile devices located throughout the stores.
The first EchoPark location opened in the Thornton area of Denver, Colorado in 2014. Locations in Centennial and Highlands Ranch, Denver were later opened. EchoPark facilities are LEED certified and constructed with sustainable building technologies.
EchoPark is led by the Sonic Automotive team of President and CEO Scott Smith, Vice Chairman David Smith, Executive VP of Operations Jeff Dyke and Vice President Tim Keen.
